No matter who you are or where you are in your relationship with God, you’re welcome here.

Our church community’s mission can be expressed using 3 Ms:

Make

gospel-centered people

Mobilize

a transformational community

Multiply

as part of a missional movement

What does that mean?

  • The Gospel is another way to say “good news.” To us, the good news is that God sent Jesus as a sign of his grace. Jesus was perfect, but he took on our human imperfections and died as a sacrifice for our sins so we wouldn’t have to. We keep that true story in our minds and use Jesus as our role model.

  • Because we believe in that “good news” and look to Jesus as a role model, we’re able to live different lives than we would otherwise. For example, we get involved in our church community through monthly meals after church and small groups, and we stay involved in our local community through foster care, donating food and hygiene supplies to those who need them, and more. We’re still definitely not perfect, but we want to imitate the love of Jesus in order to change our community from the inside out.

  • With such good news, we don’t want to just keep it to ourselves. Our ultimate goal is to show people who haven’t heard the good news, are skeptical, or might not have a relationship with God how powerful the story is—in the past, present, and future—by connecting with those people where they’re at. We want to inspire the people currently in our church family to be good examples of love and grace as Jesus has done for us so that other people will see and want to be part of that difference.

What We Believe

The Trinity

There is one God, eternal and existing in three persons (Father, Son, Holy Spirit) who are to be equally loved, honored, and worshipped.

The Bible

The Bible is the inspired and inerrant Word of God and the foundation of our faith and practice.

Salvation

The Sovereign God has chosen sinners to be redeemed by the regenerating power of the Holy Spirit and through the atoning death and resurrection of His son, Jesus Christ.

Death

At death the soul of a follower of Christ passes immediately into the presence of God and the unbeliever’s soul is eternally separated from God unto condemnation.

Christ’s Return

Jesus Christ will return to earth, visibly and bodily, at a time when He is not expected, to complete history and the eternal plan of God.

Righteousness

When people believe in Christ, God declares them righteous and  pardons their sins, not because of any righteousness of their own, but by reckoning Christ’s merits to them.

Creation

God created the heavens and the earth, and all they contain. He upholds and governs them in accordance with his will. God is in complete control, yet this does not diminish human responsibility.

Sin

All humankind participated in Adam and Eve's fall from his original sinless state and is thus lost in sin.

Jesus

Jesus the Son of God took upon himself a human nature in the womb of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life and died on a cross, bearing the sins of all those who trust in him for salvation. He rose from the dead and ascended into heaven, where he sits as Lord and rules over his kingdom (the church).

Baptism

Baptism is a sign of God’s covenant and is properly administered to children of believers in their infancy as well as to those who come to trust in Christ as adults.

Sanctification

Believers are adopted as the children of God and the Holy Spirit lives in them, sanctifies them, and enables them to act more like Christ.

Confessions

Our church is confessional and connectional, meaning that we subscribe to a historic confession of faith. All churches in our denomination, the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA), subscribe to the Westminster Standards-- the Westminster Confession of Faith, Larger and Shorter Catechisms (1647). Officers (elders and deacons) in the PCA take a vow to “sincerely receive and adopt” these confessional documents “as containing the system of doctrine taught in the Holy Scriptures.” You can read more about our church's beliefs in the Westminster Standards.
